Dr. Mitchell is a board-certified family psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 12 years of experience in psychiatric nursing. She has worked in several psychiatric nursing settings including the psychiatric emergency room, adolescent inpatient unit, adult inpatient unit, partial hospitalization programs, detention centers, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. She started her career off by obtaining an associate degree in nursing and recently completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice. She has been teaching Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Students for 2 years. She is passionate about education and believes that the pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong journey that brings forth transformation.
