Dr. Jo-Ann Lipford Sanders.
Dr. Lipford Sanders’ formal training is in Counseling and Human Development with a minor in Marriage and Family from Kent State University. She has served in higher education since 1997 as a Professor, Program Director, Associate Dean, and Academic Dean. Dr. Lipford Sanders has taught in Tianjin, China and Sappora, Japan. Her current research interests focus on religious/spirituality, ethics, & international counseling issues that are informed by her expertise in multicultural and antiracist training. Dr. Lipford Sanders has written and received federal grants totaling $2 million dollars from U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Health Resources & Services Administration, (Behavioral Health Workforce Education & Training) and the U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women. Dr. Lipford Sanders is an active member of the American Counseling Association, Association for Multicultural Counseling, Association for Spiritual, Ethical & Religious Values in Counseling, and Association for Counselor Education and Supervision and its state associations. Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development Board Member. At Walden University, she teaches in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, Counseling Program
