In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Jill Lee-Hubble Ph.D. LPCC-S (MN), LADC-S (MN) has been working in the state of Minnesota as a Behavioral Healthcare provider since 2009; first as a professional school counselor, then as a co-occurring disorders clinician under her as a licensed professional clinical counselor and licensed alcohol and drug counselor. Jill has worked in in-patient, out-patient, schools, and primary care settings throughout her career. She has been teaching in counselor education programs since 2012, has provided numerous workshops on treating co-occurring disorders, and provided consulting services for programs looking to provide co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment in out-patient and residential settings. In her free time, she enjoys photography and traveling.
