In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.
Disclaimers: Walden students have up to 8 years to complete their doctoral program unless they petition for an extension.
In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Jennifer Mudek proudly completed Walden University's DBA program with a Leadership specialization in 2016, focusing her doctoral study on innovative strategies to reduce employee absenteeism. Before that, she excelled in Walden’s MBA program, specializing in Human Resources. Driven by her passion for learning, Dr. Mudek continuously seeks out new educational and research opportunities, including earning an MS HRM certificate in 2021. She is pursuing research projects on topics like workplace well-being.
As a proud member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Golden Key International Honor Society, Dr. Mudek is dedicated to her profession. Her short-term goals are bursting with ambition as she aims to become a certified coach while pursuing research and speaking opportunities centered around employee well-being, leadership, and coaching.
Since January 2016, Dr. Mudek has embraced her role as a faculty member, starting with the BSBA program and expanding to the MS HRM program in 2021.
With a genuine passion for teaching, Dr. Mudek wholeheartedly supports and motivates students just beginning their journey, while also guiding them throughout their time at Walden in both the course-based MS HRM and the Tempo MS HRM programs. She is especially excited to assist doctoral students as they navigate the dissertation process, ready to ignite their potential and inspire their success!
