In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Jeff Logue’s formal training is in the field of Counselor Education and Supervision and has served various roles in over the last 20 years. Before becoming an educator, he served as a clinician with Dallas MetroCare Services, a member of the Mobile Crisis Team at Hickory Trail Hospital in Dallas county, Director of Hospital Marketing, Care Manager for Value Options behavioral healthcare organization, and maintained a private practice.
Dr. Logue served as program director for the Counseling Ministries degree and later as Chair of the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Community Services at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, in Waxahachie, Texas. He serves his community as a mental health consultant for a number of faith-based organizations while maintaining his private practice. Dr. Logue is a Texas Board Approved Supervisor and has supervised a number of interns on their way to licensure. At Walden University Dr. Logue serves as a Contributing Faculty member in the School of Behavioral Sciences.
