Dr. Kushner is a generalist counselor educator with experience in school and mental health counseling in K-12, university, and agency settings. An educator for over 20 years, Dr. Kushner began his career as a high school English teacher, followed those years as a professional school counselor, and finally after completing doctoral studies, joined the university faculty as a counselor educator. Dr. Kushner's role at Walden is teaching in the counseling program as an adjunct contributing faculty member with research interests in multicultural counseling and teaching with technology. A member of the American Counseling Association, and the Association of Counselor Education and Supervision, Dr. Kushner is an engaged member of the counseling profession with numerous presentations and publications at the state and national levels.
