Jamie Patterson

A former spokesperson for the Kansas City American Red Cross and the San Diego Girl Scouts, Dr. Patterson joined Walden in 2007, initially serving in the Center for Academic Excellence as a writing instructor and form and style editor. For the past decade, Dr. Patterson has worked directly with Walden capstone students as staff and faculty at residencies. Before transitioning to contributing faculty and University Research Reviewer in the DBA program, Jamie also worked with students at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. There she collaborated with faculty to build the National Center for Academic and Dissertation Excellence, creating strategies, curriculum, and structure for online and in-person support for doctoral students, including face-to-face and virtual residencies. Beginning in 2018, Jamie served as an instructor, as well as a chair and committee member, in the Ed.D. Higher Education and Adult Leadership program. In 2019 she transitioned to the Residency Coordinator position for the Riley College of Education and Leadership.
