Jalonta Jackson-Glasco
Dr. Jalonta Jackson-Glasco is an accomplished educator and researcher with over nine years of experience in higher education. Specializing in Social Work, Criminal Justice, and Public Administration and Public Policy, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her teaching and scholarly work. Currently serving as a contributing faculty member at Walden University, Dr. Glasco plays a pivotal role in guiding students through complex policy issues, with a particular focus on inclusivity and social justice.
Her primary research interests include the analysis of internal and external factors influencing policy development, particularly in the area of prison menstrual laws. This focus was highlighted in her PhD dissertation from Auburn University, where she employed mixed methods to explore these critical issues. Dr. Glasco also holds a Master of Social Work from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and has substantial professional experience as an adult probation officer and substance abuse counselor.
