In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Jacqueline Olson earned an Ed.D. in Education Administration and Supervision from Arizona State University. She has over 30 years of experience in education focusing on curriculum and assessment and has taught a variety of higher education courses in education, leadership, research, and business. She has taught in the Bachelor of Science Business Administration and Doctor of Business Administration programs. Currently, she is the Dean of Academic Success for Assessment and works in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. She is passionate about working with adult online students and helping them be successful in their academic careers. She enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and gardening, as well as playing with her dogs.
