Heather Warren received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in April 1998 from Florida A&M University, her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Benedictine University in May 2016, and her Post Master’s Certificate for Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Alabama in December 2017. She received her board certification of Psychiatric – Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in March 2018. She currently serves at Apalachee Center Inc. (community mental health center) as the inpatient provider for the Crisis Stabilization Unit and the Short term Residential Treatment unit, serving in this role since 2022. She began working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the outpatient setting at Apalachee Center Inc, in June 2018, seeing adult patients only. In December 2018, she additionally began seeing children and adolescent patients on the Community Action Team (CAT) at Apalachee Center Inc. Mrs. Warren left Apalachee Center in 2021 and worked in a private psychiatry practice until 2022 at which time she returned to work at Apalachee Center Inc. She is also a speaker for two pharmaceutical companies, works per diem for Forefront Telecare, and teaches as an adjunct faculty at Northern Kentucky University and Walden University,
