In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Gloria M. Gomez Flores has been a part of Walden University since 2009. Her home is in El Paso which is located extreme west Texas along the Rio Grande River, connecting both the state of New Mexico and the country of Mexico. She earned her Associate of Arts from El Paso Community College, Bachelor of Science in Management from Park University, Master in Business Administration from Webster University and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)with emphasis in Leadership from Walden University. Dr. Gomez Flores has over thirty-three (35) years of management, human resources, supervisory, accounting and administrative development experience. She finds the fields of leadership, management, human development, and organizational change extremely interesting, complex, challenging and rewarding. She is truly passionate and blessed to be faculty and lead with the BS in Business Administration Dual Degree Program, under the College of Management and Human Potential.
