Gerardo Lazaro, originally from Lima, Peru, is a bilingual Faculty undergraduate and graduate levels in Public Health. Dr. Lazaro is a Faculty member at Walden University since 2024. He works as a Health Scientist investigating the intersections of health equity, disease diagnosis and surveillance, and health literacy and health communication barriers. He holds a PhD in Public Health, and bachelor degrees in Biology and Education. Dr. Lazaro is a nationally certified healthcare interpreter with over 10 years of experience in language access and cultural competence.
