Dr. Erik Schmitt is a contributing faculty member for Walden and works full time in the School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Departments at another university. He was a professional elementary school counselor for ten years before earning his PhD from the University of Georgia. In addition to his PhD he also has his LPC which allows him to work on preparing both School Counselors and Mental Health students in training to enter the field. He is married with three children and loves watching sports, especially anything specific to the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs! My goal is to help you to be successful and I encourage you to reach out with questions or if support is needed.
