A strategic leader, and combat military veteran with more than 20 years of proven ability to be a corporate steward interacting and collaborating with multiple levels of management, education, and diverse cultural audiences. Barreiro’s professional background includes areas of research in logistics, supply chain management, project management, retention, higher education, financial management, operations, human resource management, leadership, strategic process, performance management, purchasing process, organizational culture, occupational culture, PMI, Cost Breakdown, Waterfall, SDLC, draw-see-think-plan, strategic planning, SOW, RFQ, RFP, recruiting, championing, forecasting, and Lean Six Sigma.

Over 20 years of educational experience at the military level and civilian levels achieved exceptional and measurable results while leading teams of 360+ in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in both civilian and military capacities. He has managed risk upon multiple lines to protect assets, target acquisition, personnel, property recovery, and equipment meeting the expectations of strategic efforts. Possess extensive knowledge in Executive Leadership, Strategic Leadership, and Management. Recipient of multiple awards for outstanding performance and professionalism in the United States Air Force. Career supported by specialized technical military training, Ph.D. Business Administration Management and Organizations, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Management and Project Management, and other professional licenses and certifications.

Other experiences include teaching at the Airmen Leadership School and Right Start Military Program. Has served in higher education as the School of Graduate Studies Dean and Program Director of the Masters in Strategic Leadership, Director of Strategic Planning and Oversite, Director of Disciplinary Affairs, and Executive Dean for Management, Social Sciences, and Computer Sciences programs.
