Elvira Phelps
Dr. Elvira G. Phelps has been teaching at Walden since 2012. She has completed several degrees in Education and Nursing. She has 37 years of teaching experience both locally and abroad and 17 years of clinical nursing and Nurse Practitioner experience. At Walden University, she held teaching positions related to leadership management and cultural diversity in nursing, policy and advocacy for population health and nursing administration: Executive Managerial Process As an administrator, she previously held various positions as Director of Nursing, Associate Dean of Nursing, Director of Women’s Services and served as a foreign Senior Education Officer in the Ministry of Education, Bauchi State, Nigeria. She is a recipient of various honors for her management skills and performance and published several articles in the field of nursing and education. Currently she is a member of the National League of Nursing Task Group on Diversity in the Workplace and a consultant/evaluator of the nursing programs in various universities and colleges nationwide.
