Elizabeth Gondek has been a member of the Walden University adjunct faculty in the College of Nursing for the past ten years, and currently primarily teaches Nursing Informatics. She received a PhD in Human and Organizational Development from Fielding Graduate University, has an MS in Nursing Administration from Boston University, and a Post Masters certificate in Nursing Informatics from Duke University. Currently, she is the Clinical Informaticist at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston. Prior to that, she was a Professional Development Specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital, working on the implementation of an electronic documentation system and then working with Mass General Brigham as part of their Epic EHR implementation. She has also been an Informatics Nurse Specialist at Boston Children's Hospital, where her primary responsibility was Clinical Reporting. At Boston Children's Hospital, she also held positions as staff nurse (PACU), nursing director (acute care and ambulatory), project director, and clinical process architect.
