Dr. Duane Halbur has been training counselors and psychologists for 20 years. He has taught undergraduate, masters, specialists, and doctoral classes. At Walden University, Dr. Halbur has taught within the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program since 2014. He has been an active researcher and has published several textbooks in the areas of cultural competence and choosing a theoretical orientation of counseling and psychotherapy. Additionally, he has written several book chapters and scholarly articles on topics of philosophical counseling, research methods and group work. Dr. Halbur has received recognition for his service in the counseling field and is most proud of being recognized as an outstanding mentor to counseling students. Dr. Halbur has over twenty years clinical experience working with individuals, families, couples and children. He has worked variety of settings including community agencies, college counseling centers, and private practice. Additionally, he is trained in and has provided online counseling.
