Demesia Brown

Demesia D. Brown, a graduate of Mississippi University for Women’s Post Master’s Family and Psychiatric Mental Health programs, is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received a dual Master’s degree, Master in Nursing Science and Business Administration in Healthcare Management from University of Phoenix. Ms. Brown began her registered nursing career at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center December 2000. She's the mental health nurse practitioner supervisor, and works as a family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in the mental health outpatient clinic serving as a mental health treatment coordinator. Ms. Brown became an MSN Nurse Practitioner Clinical faculty at Walden in the School of Nursing October 2018. She has a registered nursing and nurse practitioner license with Minnesota, Rhode Island, and Mississippi Board of Nurses. She’s been a registered nurse, in Mississippi since January 2001 and nurse practitioner since September 26, 2011. She’s been a registered nurse, with the Minnesota Board of Nursing since August 16, 2018 and certified nurse practitioner, since September 11, 2018.
