In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. David Falci currently serves as a contributing faculty member in the Master of Science in Nursing program in the College of Health Sciences at Walden University. He lives in Syracuse, NY and holds an administrative position at a hospital-based associates degree in nursing program. He has experience in curricular development and design, with ten years of teaching experience. Dr. Falci received his doctorate of nursing practice degree at Capella University. His project was titled, A Team Approach and Transition Bundle to Reduce 30-Day Readmission Rates for Heart Failure Patients. He received his Master of Science in Nursing degree, with an education focus, at Walden University.
