Dr. Danielle Beasley, PhD, RN, RNC-OB, CNE, has been Contributing Faculty at Walden since 2020. Dr. Beasley brings several years of higher education experience, including undergraduate and graduate nursing. Dr. Beasley has chaired various committees, including curriculum, admission, and progression. Dr. Beasley has received numerous awards as an academic leader bestowed by students and faculty. Dr. Beasley graduated with her RN-ADN degree from Pasco-Hernando State College in 2004, then earned a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Walden University in 2014, and a PhD in Nursing Sciences from The University of Florida in 2019. Her extensive nursing career has focused on maternal-child nursing, specifically obstetrics.

Dr. Beasley is certified in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing, by the National Certification Corporation (NCC). She is credentialed as a Certified Nurse Educator, by the National League for Nursing (NLN). Dr. Beasley is a simulation expert and has created several clinical-based scenarios during her nursing career spanning medical-surgical, pediatric, and obstetrical nursing. She was selected as a simulation consultant for Shadow Health and was a subject matter expert for the maternal health simulation line. Scholarly contribution, Dr. Beasley is a published author generating articles that emphasize the health and well-being of women and neonates. Dr. Beasley is a published author for AWHONN, the Association for Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses and in the Journal of Psychosocial Nursing and Mental Health Services.

Dr. Beasley is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (STTI), and Southern Nursing Research Society (SNRS). Dr. Beasley spent many years as a Governance and Bylaws Board Member for STTI and has taken part in several initiatives for the March of Dimes and United Way.
