In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Dana M. Hubbard, also known as "Dr. D," is the owner and chief operator ofVitality Health and Wellness, LLC. Vitality Health and Wellness Center serves as a trauma-informed catalyst for the highly functional professionals in Prince George's County, Maryland. Dr. Hubbard manages and guides her team of five clinicians andsupport staff. As a human behavioralist and trauma-informed clinician, she and her team service over 180 clients a year.
Dr. Dana M. Hubbard served honorably in the United States Airforce. As a Captainin the Air Force, Dr. Hubbard was a mental health flight commander and providedclinical care for service members and their families. She was responsible for the local Air Force bases mental health operations by leading a clinical team professionals. Dr. Hubbard served as the Behavioral Health Consultant for base commanders and led multiple Air Force programs.
As a licensed clinical social worker, Dr. Dana Hubbard has serviced active dutymembers, veterans, families, women, and children. She is also a Certified LeadAgent with a specialization in organizational psychology. Dr. Hubbard received herDoctorate in Health Care Administration in 2019. Additional educational accomplishments include a Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a Bachelor's in Sociology from Salisbury University
