First, there was technical support where he explained concepts to consumers at a variety of skill levels, which he transitioned into peer mentoring and consulting after leaving business process outsourcers (BPOs). He served an IT consultant with an animal rescue group, which served as inspiration for his doctoral study.
Dr. Haywood’s current research interests focus primarily on how cloud computing technology and non-profit organizations. His doctoral study “The Relationship between Nonprofit Organizations and Cloud Adoption Concerns” focused using the extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2) to gauge what factors might promote or inhibit the use of cloud technology. His next interest is to see what strategies might improve the adoption of cloud computing technology to reduce the carbon footprint of the organizations as well as increasing the benefits toward those in need of the non-profit’s services.
