Doctor of Information Technology (DIT)

Dr. Cynthia Phillips is a Contributing Faculty in the DIT/MSIT Program. She been teaching online since 2000 in the areas of management and technology.

Since retiring from her full-time position at Brandies she taught and developed courses at a number of other Universities, most recently holding the positions of Honorary Lecturer, Core Faculty and Dissertation Advisor at the University of Liverpool. Prior to teaching Dr. Phillips spent a number of years working for software developing companies - mostly small to medium sized.

Prior to her work in education, Dr. Phillips worked for a number of software development companies holding positions that included programmer, analyst and vice president of research and design.

Much of her recent research has centered around emerging technologies and their impact on work and the workplace focusing way different technologies are being applied in the workplace.

Dr. Phillips has a Bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a Master’s degree in management from traditional universities and a PhD is from Capella University.
