Dr. Cynthia Harrington is a nurse educator, family nurse practitioner, and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has been in the healthcare arena for 20+ years. She received her Doctoral in Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama, her post-masters in nursing education from Walden University, her post-masters in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from the Univeristy of Southern Mississippi, and her Master of Science in Nursing family nurse practitioner from Delta State University. She is a Walden contributing faculty for the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program.

She currently works as a FNP/PMHNP telehealth, a rural medical clinic, and an emergency department. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in nursing for other colleges and universities. She loves to interact with nurses and nursing students and discuss mental health topics. She believes education is the key factor in mental health recovery.
