Christina Marietti

Dr. Christina Marietti joined Walden University in August 2022 as a Contributing Faculty Member in the Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership. With over 20 years of experience in general and special education, she brings a deep passion for inclusive teaching practices to her work with adult learners. Dr. Marietti earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Capella University, focusing on child and adolescent development. She holds licenses in Developmental Disabilities K–12, Autism Spectrum Disorders K–12, and General Elementary Education K–6.
Throughout her 23-year teaching career at the elementary level, Dr. Marietti spent 14 years in special education and the last several years in a fully inclusive 5th-grade classroom, an experience she considers the most rewarding of her career. During that time, she also served as the case manager for students on IEPs and spent one year as a Special Education Coordinator. Inclusion has always been her greatest passion, and she remains committed to supporting inclusive education in every setting she serves.
