Ches Jones received his PhD in Health Education and Health Promotion at the University of Alabaman at Birmingham in August 1994. He currently serves as Faculty Mentor in School of Health Services at Walden University. Dr. Jones began as a part time faculty member at Walden in the School of Health Sciences in July 2002. He teaches or has taught several courses at Walden including Introduction to Community Health, Introduction to Public Health, Public Campaigns for Health Promotion and Heath Education, and Foundations for Graduate Study in Public Health. Dr. Jones has also taught Epidemiology, Health Planning, and Human Disease at other universities. Dr. Jones has worked as a researcher in other universities in the area of injury prevention and adolescent/childhood health. He has been the principal investigator for several community-based projects featuring child safety seat use, agricultural-related injuries in children, and personal watercraft safety. He has several publications and presentations related to injury epidemiology and prevention of injuries among children and adolescents.
