Dr. Balkcom earned her doctoral degree in School Psychology at the University at Albany, State University of New York. She has both undergradate and graduate teaching experience and has been a Walden instructor since 2002. Dr. Balkcom is currently a full time school psychologist at a middle school in southern Connecticut. She is a Past President of the Connecticut Association of School Psychologists and was on the Executive Board of the New York Association of School Psychologists for many years.
