Charlotte H. Burns recently joined Walden University in 2023, as a contributing faculty member teaching MSW students in the MSW Program. Dr. Burns has taught graduate and undergraduate students pursuing degrees in the field of social work since 2013. She has taught across the curriculum, from foundation courses to advance practice courses.

Dr. Burns's professional social work practice experience is in child welfare, adult protective services, mental health, nephrology social work practice, substance use disorders, prenatal care services, and school social work.

She earned a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) degree from Aurora University, Aurora, Illinois, and a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Dominican University, River Forest, Illinois.
