Dr. Charletta Barringer-Brown received her B.A. in Psychology from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, a M.Ed in Special Education from Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia, an Ed.D. in Administration and Supervision of Special Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Virginia, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration with a concentration in Law from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She served as a tenured professor and program administrator in the University of North Carolina system. As well, she served as a tenured professor and the director of general education at Virginia State University. Dr. Barringer-Brown serves as the Dean and Professor of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Business (Instruction) at Southside Virginia Community College. She possesses over 25 years of experience in senior level management with local, state, and federal level agencies in the Commonwealth of Virginia and North Carolina. Dr. Barringer-Brown teaches Research Methods and Design courses in the DPPA program at Walden University. Primarily, she chairs and serve on doctoral dissertation committees, and teaches dissertation credit courses, as well as being a member of the University Research Review committee.
