Charity Kurz

Dr. Charity Anne Kurz is Contributing Faculty in the School Counseling Program at Walden University. Born and raised in Ohio, Dr. Kurz attended Youngstown State University for a bachelor’s in Education and a master’s in counseling. During her time as an undergrad student, she had the privilege to serve as a student trustee on the Board of Trustees for Youngstown State University, along with various other student leadership roles. She has served as a special education teacher for 4.5 years and school counselor for 2 years in various school districts, as well as a counselor in various settings. Dr. Kurz earned her doctorate in Counselor Education from The Pennsylvania State University. She has taught in higher education for almost 8 years.
