Dr. Chakeia Guyton's field of study includes Elementary Education, African American Studies, Reading Education, Educational and Organizational Leadership. She has served in various roles in the education for over her 18+ year career. At Walden University, she teaches undergraduate courses as a Contributing Faculty in the Elementary Education Program. She has presented in numerous professional development on the topic of literacy. In 2015, she was recognized by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc during May Week for her contributions to the field of education. She was also honored by Legacy magazine as a Top Black Educator in 2021.
