Dr. Catherine Kelly is a contributing faculty member in Walden University's Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services (OASIS). She earned a PhD in English, an MA in Corporate and Public Communication, a BA in Journalism, and an AA in Communication. Teaching is her passion, and she has approximately 13 years of experience teaching a variety of English and communication courses.

Dr. Kelly's research interests include sociolinguistics and media studies. Her social change interests include language access and media portrayals. She has presented at various national and regional conferences on such subjects as film portrayals of the American Dream and effective practices in the composition and communication classrooms.
