Cassy Taylor

Dr. Cassy Taylor is a contributing faculty member at Walden University. She is also associate faculty at Marshall University, where she teaches in the nurse anesthesia program run jointly by Marshall and Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC).
Dr. Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology from West Virginia University. She later attended the University of Charleston’s nursing program, earning an associate degree. She worked in medical/surgical, orthopedic and medical intensive care units before attending nurse anesthesia school at CAMC. She was a clinical nurse anesthetist at CAMC’s Memorial hospital before joining the educational staff at their nurse anesthesia program.
Dr. Taylor later attended Case Western Reserve University to earn a master’s degree in nursing and a doctorate degree in nursing practice. Her doctoral research examined attitudes toward physician nurse collaboration among nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologists. Her practice doctorate in management is from Marshall University.
