Dr. Wells's formal training is in biology, religion, and curriculum & instruction where he has served in various roles over his 20+ year career. Dr. Wells has served as a science teacher in both public and independent schools, instructing levels from middle school physical science to high school AP courses. He then moved into higher education positions related to character education, educational psychology, and science methods with a special emphasis on STEM programs. At Walden, he serves as a contributing faculty member in the M.S. Education (MSEd) program. Current research interests focus primarily on the design and application of technology-rich learning environments in STEM education. Prior to teaching, Dr. Wells served for 10 years in the US Army and Army Reserve.
