Doctor of Social Work (DSW)

Dr. Carolyn Ewing has a doctorate degree in Health Care Administration and Management, with a specialization in Health Care Leadership. Both her masters and bachelors degrees are in Social Work. She obtained her LCSW in 2009 and is licensed in multiple states. She has extensive health care and behavioral health care experience, including leadership positions within both nonprofit & for-profit organizations. She has also served within the VA Health Care System. She has provided clinical therapy to children and families adjudicated within the court systems, served as the Suicide Prevention Coordinator within the VA system and worked within a hospice organization. She also held leadership positions within a for-profit organization, leading various clinical teams that were devoted to assisting members with improving their health outcomes. She has taught online for the past 10 years, for both Social Work & Health Care Administration programs. She has been full time with Walden University for the past 2 years. She teaches Policy, Research, Psychopathology, Essential Skills & Practice with Groups. In addition to these courses, she has also served on DSW dissertation committees.
