In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Cameron John's formal training is in Educational Psychology. He has served in various teaching roles and administrative positions over his 20+ year career. Before moving into higher education, Dr. John worked for a company offering program evaluation services. Dr. John is also a licensed psychologist in the state of Utah, providing psychological services to clients. Dr. John has taught several courses at Walden University including Theories of Personality, Tests and Measurement, courses related to research methods and courses in the area of quantitative reasoning.
