Beth Bonifas has been in nursing since 1989. She graduated from Georgetown University with a BSN and served 4 years in the Army Nurse Corps. She attended the Pediatric Nursing Course at Tripler Army Medical Center and worked in the NICU for4 years. After completing her military service she settled in Virginia Beach Virginia and started work at Childrens Hospital of the Kings Daughters in the NICU. She completed her MSN as a PNP through Old Dominion University in 1999. Her first job as a PNP was with Pediatric Surgeons. She spent 14 years with them and then transitioned to primary care in 2013. She has been at Chesapeake Pediatrics doing primary care full time for 10 years, She began teaching at Walden University in 2022 as a clinical instructor in the PNP program
