Dr. Baljit Pannu has been in nursing for over 15 years, with formal training in nursing education. Dr. Pannu started her career in bedside nursing in both long-term care and maternal-newborn health. She later moved on to higher education roles in nursing foundations, pathophysiology, and pharmacology in online and on-campus capacities. In her higher education role, she was also a student-faculty affairs committee member and a prominent academic advisor. At Walden, she teaches Teaching Learning Strategies and Interprofessional Organization. Dr. Pannu completed her Doctoral dissertation aimed to improve postpartum discharge education to incorporate postpartum warning signs. In 2020, she was recognized by the Alpha Chi National Honor Society for her academic achievements. She continues to expand her credentials through a variety of professional development activities.
