Antoinette Kruse
Antoinette M. Kruse received her DSW in Social Work at Walden University in November 2023. Her research focuses on the impact of natural disasters and mental health within vulnerable populations. Dr. Kruse currently serves as Contributing Faculty for master’s level students in the Barbara Solomon School of Social Work at Walden University and has served in this role since June 2024. At other colleges and universities, she has also taught Human Behavior in Social Environments, Social Work Research, and Diversity of Psychology. Professionally, Dr. Kruse is the Founder/Executive Director of Providence Family Life, a 501(C) (3) community-based non-profit organization, started in 2008 to restore dignity and respect to individuals who have faced difficult life experiences. The center achieved this goal by providing acceptance, support, education, and access to necessary resources to enhance their physical and emotional well-being. Today, Dr. Kruse is committed to delivering Disaster Preparedness Education & Support Services to the community and Field Education to master’s level Social Workers in Southwest Florida. Dr. Kruse has presented her work on community-based and disaster-related issues and is developing several research projects.
