Dr. De Lima is Owner of De Lima Counseling Group, LLC where she employs a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to address mental health disorders, substance use disorders (SUDs), and trauma. Her toolkit includes proven protocols such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other trauma-informed interventions. Dr. De Lima's professional journey reflects a wealth of experience and leadership across various clinical roles in substance use and mental health treatment. Her diverse expertise has made a significant impact on the development and oversight of programs, ensuring the delivery of ethical and high-quality care. Dr. De Lima has also dedicated a significant portion of her career to working closely with first responders from diverse backgrounds and specialties. Her dissertation work centered on the factors that promote posttraumatic growth and resilience in first responders. Her hands-on experience and extensive research in this field have equipped her with a profound understanding of the unique challenges faced by this population. Dr. De Lima is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Dr. De Lima earned her PhD at Walden University. Dr. De Lima has shared her expertise on first responder mental health extensively, presenting on this topic at conferences and events across the country. Her commitment to raising awareness and providing support for those who serve in high-stress roles is evident in her work.
