Dr. Amber Cook graduated from Darton College in 2008 with her ASN, and then pursued her BSN, MSN and FNP at Albany State University. In 2019 she received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from University of Alabama in Huntsville. Most recently, in 2022 she received a Master of Science in Palliative Care as well as Graduate certificates for Clinical Aspects of Hospice and Palliative Care and Principles and Practice of Hospice and Palliative Care from the University fo Maryland Baltimore.

Dr. Cook has worked in a variety of settings including medical/surgical nursing, mental health, administration, care management and ED. She practices as a palliative care nurse practitioner and obtained her certification as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN) in 2017. She has a great passion for nursing research and recently completed a scholarly project regarding nurses' understanding of delirium in an intensive care unit setting.
