Dr. Alebachew Kindie is a nationally board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) who continues with clinical practice specializing in adult psychiatry with serious and persistent mental illness. He has 7 years of experience within inpatient and outpatient settings, including community health and crisis stabilization.

Dr. Kindie continues with clinical practice both in-person and through telehealth for medications management and psychotherapy for individual with serious and persistent mental illness. In addition to his clinical work, he is advocate for access to mental health and increase awareness of the stigma associated with mental health.

Dr. Kindie is a contributing faculty at Walden University. He joined as adjunct faculty to teach graduate students in 2022. He serves as PMHNP preceptor at Walden University.

Dr. Kindie received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing with a specialization in psychiatry from University of Texas and earned his doctorate from University of Texas Arlington. He is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and maintains professional affiliations with the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and Bexar County Nurse Practitioner Association.
