Beyond the Classroom
When you pursue your bachelor’s degree at Walden, you can translate your coursework into practice by participating in an optional field experience, service learning project, or study abroad program. These programs are designed to broaden your worldview and deepen your understanding, as well as give you a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
- Field Experience: Develop a personalized project that can be applied to your organization or a particular setting of interest.
- Study Abroad: Experience firsthand international cultures and explore global policies and concerns through Walden’s study abroad program. Optional one- or two-week seminars in Europe, Asia, or South America are designed for working professionals.
- Service Learning Project: As part of your coursework, develop a service learning project that allows you to identify concerns in your community. Consider projects for nonprofit agencies, schools, faith-based organizations, and other neighborhood or community associations.
*Some restrictions apply. You are required to submit official transcripts from all previously attended accredited institutions and show a 1.5 cumulative or higher grade point average (GPA).
