Dr. Ouzts has worked in a variety of settings, including the public health nursing field, for many years. She started teaching at a local community college and eventually became the director of their nursing program for eight years. In 1999, she became the coordinator of the RN-BSN Completion Program at the University of Wyoming where she converted the traditional program to a completely online program. Before coming to Walden, Dr. Ouzts returned to practice for four years as a state supervisor in public health nursing and is nationally certified as an Advanced Public Health Nurse. At Walden, Dr. Ouzts directs the BSN Completion Program, coordinates the RN-MSN program, and teaches various courses including public health nursing.
