Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
Dr. Shanks has over 20 years of experience in teaching, consulting, and directing DBA dissertations mostly at the international level. He has an MBA with a specialization in Strategic Management and Marketing and a Ph.D. In Organizational Psychology. His major area of interest includes Talent Management, Human Resources and Selection, Strategic Management Leadership and Stress Management.
Dr. Shanks has served as a professor in several universities, teaching masters and doctoral courses in management. He also served on many doctoral dissertations over the past 20 years. Dr. Shanks is a Contributing faculty in the College of Business and Technology at Walden University. He was also associated with the American University of RAK where he taught Strategic Management and Leadership at the MBA Level. His other major accomplishment was with the American University of Beirut where he was involved in the setting up of a brand-new American style university and business school. He served as Chair and Acting Dean of this Business School. Here Dr. Shanks taught MBA learners and provided administrative support for 14 years. Dr. Shanks has published his research in peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Shanks is a member of numerous organizations having been listed as a Global Business and Management Expert by OMICS which provided him with an international focus. He also served as Ambassador Designate for SIOP in 2021 because of his international expertise. He is the CEO of Menon International LLC devoted to Talent Management and Consulting in an International Context. The company provides support and is actively involved in the search and placement of personnel. Dr. Shanks was awarded the Outstanding Professor of the Year Award for Teaching by the University of South Florida for excellence in teaching. Dr. Shanks also served as Coordinator of the USF UG Honors Program. He has been an invited keynote speaker at several events. He lives in Sarasota, Florida.
