Dr. Olga Salnikova’s formal training is in higher education and in adult and continuing education. She has served in various roles over her 30+ year career. Dr. Olga Salnikova served as an associate professor and a Head of International Cooperation Office at a technical university. She then moved to teach various online courses and to serve in various roles in industrial settings including oil and aviation industries. At Walden University, she teaches the doctoral capstone courses. Dr. Salnikova has served on numerous doctoral student dissertation committees. Dr. Salnikova’s current research interests focus primarily on distance education and e-learning, self-directed learning, learning styles of adult learners, experiential learning, motivational aspects of the learning process design, work-based learning methods and practices, programme development in adult education, training in business and industry, competences and skills assessment and development, qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods of research in education.
