In the EdD Early Childhood Education specialization, you’ll build skills and progress toward your final capstone project in every course.

In general, students are continuously registered in the dissertation/doctoral study course until they complete their capstone project and it is approved. This usually takes longer than the minimum required terms in the dissertation/doctoral study course shell.
To complete a doctoral dissertation, students must obtain the academic approval of several independent evaluators including their committee, the University Research Reviewer, and the Institutional Review Board; pass the Form and Style Review; gain approval at the oral defense stage; and gain final approval by the Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Morris Bidjerano has been a faculty member of the School of Public Policy and Administration at Walden since 2010, where he teaches in the MPA and Ph.D. programs. He is a Lead Faculty for the Organizational Management and Leadership and Research Theory courses. He serves as Chair, Committee Member, and University Research Reviewer on dissertation committees, as well as a Ph.D. Residency Faculty. Dr. Bidjerano held previous academic appointments with the Central Michigan University, the University at Albany – State University of New York (SUNY), the College of St. Rose, and the Sofia University in Bulgaria. Dr. Bidjerano also worked as an educational program evaluator for the Evaluation Consortium of the University at Albany - SUNY Research Foundation and as a policy and management analyst for the Intergovernmental Studies Program of the Rockefeller College, the University at Albany - SUNY, the Florida-Eastern Europe Linkage Institute of the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL and the Center for Social Practices in Sofia, Bulgaria. He served also on the Board of Consultants for the Center for International Development, SUNY Central and as Culture and Sports Director of an international non-profit organization. He is currently a Fellow of the Washington, DC-based Institute for the Polarities of Democracy. Dr. Bidjerano received his Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy, with a concentration in Public Management, from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, University at Albany – SUNY, and his M.A. in Political Science from Sofia University, Bulgaria. Additionally, he has pursued advanced graduate studies in Comparative European Social Sciences at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands and Ph.D. studies in Comparative International Policies at Sofia University, Bulgaria, and Public Affairs at the University of Central Florida.
