Dr. Julie Robinson’s doctorate in Counselor Education is from the University of North Texas where she specialized in play therapy under Dr. Garry Landreth, a world renowned play therapist. She has been teaching in Counselor Education programs since 2000. She currently serves as a Contributing Faculty member in the School of Counseling. In 2007 Dr. Robinson received the Counselor Educator of the Year Award from the Illinois Counselor Educators and Supervisors Division of ICA. Most recently Dr. Robinson received the Mentor of the Year award from the North Central Association for Counselor Educators and Supervisors where she served as the President. Dr. Robinson’s research interests include, play therapy with chronically and terminally ill children, and counselor education training
