Dr. James Bailey has been teaching at Walden since 2017 and is a life-time K-12 educator with positions as teacher, principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent in Colorado and Wyoming. Recently he started a new venture as the superintendent of an emerging charter school network in San Antonio, Texas for highly at-risk students. He also owns a small consulting firm focused on the coaching of educational leaders, and he has taught on-line doctoral courses for over 12 years.
He has been married for over 26 years and have three sons 24, 23 and 19 two of which are still in college.
He has always been interested in how social science field can be used to understand how to improve education and has read and researched widely in many of these areas.
