I have a PhD in Nursing from the University of Miami, a Post Doc with a focus on Chronic Illness and Quality of Life from Indiana University and a National Institute of Nursing Research fellowship in Genetics. My clinical background is in critical care nursing. I have held many management and educational positions in medical centers in New Your City, Birmingham, Alabama and in Florida. My academic experiences span over 20 years; it includes teaching in baccalaureate and graduate nursing programs and serving as an Associate Dean.
